Bonnie Culpepper Memorial Scholarship

Bonnie Culpepper Memorial Scholarship

Last October a former EMT student from the Colorado Mountain College - Salida program passed in an MVA on her way home from work at Eagle County Paramedic Services. Bonnie Culpepper was a bright student, a big personality, and in her short time left an indelible legacy in the communities she touched.

Bonnie had her ambitions set on becoming a paramedic. She was in the midst of completing her prerequisites to attend paramedic school.

To honor her ambitions, a number of her friends, coworkers, and her family have given and committed to establish an annual memorial scholarship to cover entirely the tuition for a student from the Lake, Chaffee, or Eagle County communities to attend the CMC Paramedic Program. The award can also be split between two students covering half of tuition for each.

The CMC Paramedic Program has been through a significant rebuild in the last year with new faculty, staff, and clinical locations available across the US. It is a one year program starting in August with Remote Realtime lectures from 0800 to 1100 on Mondays and Wednesdays, and lab in Edwards from 0800 to 1800 on Thursdays.

If you or peers within your organizations are considering taking the step to grow your career in EMS and become a paramedic, know this scholarship is a resource for the CMC Paramedic Program for candidates from the Chaffee, Lake, and Eagle County communities.
